Professor Peter Browett

Peter has been an active member of the Company since April 1997. He currently chairs the Safety and Data Monitoring Committee (SDMC).

Peter is Professor of Pathology, and was head of the Department of Molecular Medicine and Pathology from 2004 to 2017. He is co-director of the Leukaemia and Blood Cancer Research Unit with the University, and Clinical Director of the Auckland Regional Tissue Bank and Grafton Clinical Genomics, a collaboration between the University and Auckland City Hospital to support research and clinical genomics.

Peter attends on the Leukaemia and BMT services in the Department of Haematology, Auckland City Hospital and is Clinical Lead for research. He is the lead pathologist for the Molecular Haematology Laboratory, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Auckland City Hospital.

Peter has a long relationship with the ALLG and currently chairs the Safety and Data Monitoring Committee (SDMC). He was initially a member of the ANZ Lymphoma Group, and following the merger with the Australian Leukaemia Study Group to form the ALLG, was a member of the foundation Scientific Advisory Board, holding the role of secretary. He has been local PI for several ALLG clinical trials over this time, and remains committed to ALLG being the premier trials group for patients with blood cancers in Australia and New Zealand.
