Get involved in clinical research
Want to know more about what research is happening locally to you?
- Ask your cancer specialist
- Speak to your GP or nurse about any research opportunities that might be available to you
- Visit your local hospital or your local GP surgery website
It is “OK to ask” about research opportunities that could be available to you or your loved ones, if you have a medical condition you are receiving treatment for.
Read the Survivor Stories of people talking about their experience of being part of a clinical trial, how they made the decision to take part, what was involved and what it was like for them.
Thinking About Participating in a Clinical Trial
Participating in a clinical trial is an important personal decision. Potential participants should know as much as possible about the clinical trial and feel comfortable asking the members of the research team questions about it. In addition, it can be helpful to talk to your doctor, family members, or friends before deciding to register for a clinical trial.
