Fifth edition of Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG) quarterly newsletter – ALLG News.

 In News

September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, a critical time to raise awareness of blood cancers such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Our latest community newsletter, ALLG News ‘Edition 5’ is for people like you who are interested in medical research and our mission to create better treatments and better lives for patients with blood cancers.

As this year is our 50th year anniversary, the bumper Edition 5 of ALLG News includes a feature on our “Five decades of impact” in clinical trial research. We also feature ground breaking clinical trial HD10 for Advanced-stage Hodgkin lymphoma that provided the “best results we have ever seen in young patients from 18 to 60 years”.

This ALLG News also includes two inspiring stories about clinical trial participants, Emma – who was only 38 when diagnosed with an aggressive Hodgkin lymphoma, and Bianca, – who was only 25 when diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. They are back to living their normal lives after participating on an ALLG trial for their blood cancer. You can read these stories, and more, in this newsletter.
