New Chair of ALLG Scientific Advisory Committee, Professor Judith Trotman

The newly elected Chair of the ALLG Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) is Professor Judith Trotman; a 22-year ALLG Member and our first Kiwi and female Chair of the SAC.

Professor Judith Trotman, MBChB, Grad. Cert. Clinical Trials, is Head of Haematology at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, where she was the Founding Director of the Clinical Research Unit 2005-2019. She is passionate about embedding clinical research in quality care. She provides global leadership in charting the role of PET scanning in lymphoma.

Prof Trotman is a prominent ALLG member, was a SAC representative member from 2014 – 2019; during this time she also Chaired the Lymphoma Scientific Working Party.

“Over 20 years I have been driven to embed clinical research into my practice,” Prof Trotman explained. “Encouraged by having made a difference, I believe I can enhance the ALLG‘s reputation as a leading international trials group, and mentor, support and empower the SAC and Scientific Working Party Chairs to grow their clinical trial portfolios for better blood cancer treatments.”

In the past 15 years Prof Trotman has led and mentored her Co-Principal Investigators of ALLG clinical trials: HD08 RATHL, NHL25 REMARC, NHL29 IRIC, NHL30 PETREA, HD13 RADAR, and made major contributions to NHL16 PRIMA.
